My Dad helps me to look for work. My Dad loves to read business journals and newspapers including “The Wall Street Journal” and “Fortune” magazine. Dad tells me to look for work where the companies are “financially profitable”. He said that I should look for work “in the morning and at the beginning of the week because most companies hire early in the day and early in the week”. Always wear the best clothes that you can afford even if you have to borrow the clothes from a friend or a family member for one day. Dress in a very conservative manner: ladies should wear dresses or a very tailored pantsuit; gentlemen should wear a suit and a tie. Always check back with the employer by telephone within one week of your interview. Always write a thank-you note and mail it to the hiring employer within three days of the interview. - Marianne G.
