Job Search - Tips for First Time Job Seekers
Working Papers: A first-time job seeker’s B.F.F.
It seems that everything these days comes with instructions: toaster ovens, exercise equipment and – heck – even mac & cheese.
Well, almost everything. First jobs don’t come with a free helpful guide. Until now…
SnagAJob.com has written “Working Papers” with the goal of helping all those soon-to-be hourly workers who have tons of questions but no answers.
Whether you’re curious about how many hours you can legally work each week or you demand to know why the amount on your paycheck looks suspiciously small, we have all the answers – well, all the answers about first jobs. We can’t tell you if opossum is safe to cook in that new toaster oven. Sorry, check the instruction book.

I am in agreement with the many that brag on Snag-a-Job. I found their website through my grandson’s girlfriend.
One thing that so many corporations, and other assistance oriented websites don’t include, is some information for those of us that are “handicapped.” We are among the highest number in the unemployed area.
We “can” work, and many of us have excellent customer service skills too.
Some of us, like myself, are fast approaching the time when our handicap will mandate that we work from our homes - online.
It is so discouraging to search and search and search, finding very little that is available for us. But, I will continue to look and hope, and someone somewhere will extend an offer that will have my name on it.
I have heard on Good Morning America, and some other programs, where that there are many who are now working at home. It saves the employee money on eating out - clothing, and most of all GAS!
It saves the employer as well, on the cost of extra equipment (computers, etc.), and a variety of other items.
Hopefully, the day will come when all employers or at least a multitude of them, will have a special area for the handicapped work force, and even those of us who have to work from their homes.
Have a great summer everyone!
